Paragraph about the role:

YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented student to join our team as a Funding and Evaluation Coordinator this summer. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the YMCA's efforts to secure and maintain funding for key community programs and services. Working closely with the Grants and Reporting team and program leads, you will gain hands-on experience in research, data management, reporting, and funder relations. This position will be based in Edmonton, working in our Association Services home office, with occasional travel to local centres.

Responsibilities:

Use data tools to research and document prospective foundations and funding partners whose priorities align with YMCA programs and services.

Collaborate with the Grants and Reporting team and program leads to review and compile program outcomes, preparing this data for inclusion in funder reports and updates.

Assist with the entry of funder data, agreements, and communications in the donor database.

Support the development of content for funding requests and reports.

Contribute to funder recognition efforts and relationship-building initiatives.

Represent the YMCA at community and donor events, networking opportunities and meetings with current and potential donors to promote the organization's mission and vision.

Qualifications:

Current student enrolled in post-secondary education (as per Canada Summer Jobs requirements).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience or interest in research, data management, or grant writing is an asset.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
