Duties for this position will include the following, but not limited to:

• Lift, assemble and tack joist pieces at the jig
• Perform welding operations to join metal parts and components by applying appropriate welding techniques
• Read and interpret shop drawings as required
• Find the right pieces of metal, position them, line up and secure all pieces according to the design and help set up the jig as required
• Keep the work area clean and follow 5S standards
• Practice good housekeeping including 5S and time management in the performance of daily duties
• Comply with all legislated and company's health, safety environmental, quality and Lean policies, procedures and programs
• All other duties as assigned

• Ability to produce welds which meet company quality standards
• Ability to lift parts as needed
• Ability to work at a pace established by production standards
• Physical ability to routinely lift up to 50 lb
