Job Description
Duties for this position will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Operate stud welder, ironworker, plate shear, crimper, channel cutters, angle cutters, or saws
- Enter data into machine to set specs for cutting, crimping and punching
- Adjust the machine to cut material to proper length
- Cut angle/channel according to specifications found on cutting bills
- Move materials to appropriate areas with crane or buggy
- Perform operator scheduled maintenance on machinery
- Practice good housekeeping, including 5S requirements, and time management in the performance of daily duties.
- Comply with all legislated and company's health, safety, environmental, quality and Lean policies, procedures and programs
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Ability to operate an overhead crane
- Computer literacy
- Ability to read a tape measure and cutting bills
- Work independently and willingness to move to day shift if needed for training or coverage of leaves
- Physical ability to routinely lift up to 50 lb is required
