Job Summary:
As an HR Communications Intern, you will support the development and execution of internal communication initiatives that enhance employee engagement and promote awareness of Human Resources programs and priorities. Reporting to the HR Programs Manager, you'll gain hands-on experience in crafting and distributing content that connects employees with the company's values, culture, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning and drafting of internal HR communications, including announcements, newsletters, and intranet posts in areas of Employee wellness, recognition, and other HR driven programs.
  • Support the creation of written and visual content for various internal communication channels, ensuring messaging is clear, engaging, and aligned with Ainsworth's tone and values.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and internal stakeholders to gather relevant content and updates for communication purposes.
  • Help coordinate the distribution of employee announcements and internal updates.
  • Contribute to the production and editing of the internal HR newsletter, including compiling submissions and ensuring layout consistency.
  • Help ensure all internal communications comply with company standards and receive appropriate approvals.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for enhancing employee communications.
  • Support administrative tasks related to communication tracking, feedback collection, and report drafting.
  • Learn and apply best practices in internal communications, branding, and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and grammar.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Canva; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Fluency (verbal and written) in French is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of internal communications or interest in learning about employee engagement strategies.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all communications.
