The Opportunity

We are seeking a Casual Cook to support our Kitchen Team on an as-needed basis. Youll help ensure every meal is nutritious, high quality, and prepared with care and dignity. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible hours while making a positive difference in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals according to set menus
• Follow food safety practices and maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Support inventory management and reduce food waste
• Encourage and supervise volunteers and work experience participants
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and program teams

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume or commercial kitchen
• Valid Food Safe Level 1 (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs
• Respectful and compassionate approach toward vulnerable populations
• Strong time management and teamwork skills
