Job Description:

As a Area Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and selling our diverse range of woodworking machinery and tools. You will engage with both business owners and private individuals, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. This role involves proactive outreach, consultations, and a mix of phone-based and in-person interactions (approx. 70% / 30 %).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Sales: Identify and connect with potential clients via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings. Present and sell our range of woodworking machinery and tools.

  • Consultative Selling: Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend the best products and solutions. Provide expert advice on product features and benefits.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Follow up on leads, handle inquiries, and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Product Knowledge: Continuously develop a deep understanding of our products to effectively communicate their value and benefits to clients.

  • Market Expansion: Work towards achieving growth and market share by leveraging the high quality and diversity of our product selection.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in woodworking machinery or related industries. A background in fabrication or woodworking is highly desirable.

  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage clients and build strong relationships. Strong consultative selling skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

  • Work Setup: Flexible work arrangements are available. You can work from our head office in Toronto, a branch, or remotely from a home office.

  • Attributes: Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Commission pay
  • Self directed health benefit

Experience:

  • sales: 1 year (preferred)
  • woodworking: 1 year(preferred)
  • Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
