Title: Senior Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Responsibilities:
- Perform conceptual and detail design engineering work on the fuel channel/ Tube or Reactor Structures to applicable codes, standards and procedures meeting quality, budget, and schedule expectations. The design activities include but are not limited to the preparation of technical calculations and the preparation of design documents and technical reports.
- Develop, plan, specify, schedule, conduct and/or lead detailed design phases of the engineering work for fuel channel components
- Review design reports, calculations, documents, and drawings in support of design verification.
- Prepare and review registration packages for pressure boundary components.
- Interface with the regulatory bodies, such as: TSSA, ISCIR, CNCAN, and CNSC, as required.
- Perform design review and design verification for the design and engineering work completed by others.
- Provide prompt response and engineering resolutions on any critical engineering related matters.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) from a university of recognized standing
- Solid experiences on either LS-Dyna, Ansys APDL, AutoPipe, PipeStress
- Min 7 years experience in Mechanical Design and or Analysis
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed as Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (PEng)
- Nuclear Design engineering experience or extensive experiences in Oil and Gas industry
- Working knowledge on fuel channel and fuel channel component design
