SENIOR DIRECTOR, MARKETING

THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a Senior Director, Marketing who will be responsible for setting the strategic vision and overseeing the execution of marketing initiatives that elevate brand visibility and deepen member engagement. This leadership role plays a key part in aligning marketing efforts with organizational objectives, ensuring consistent messaging and impact across all channels. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Senior Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to maximize marketing opportunities and advance the organization's mission.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Designing and executing integrated marketing strategies across departments that support and reflect the organization's mission and overarching goals.
- Leading, coaching, and supporting the Manager, Marketing and Events to foster professional growth and ensure effective delivery of marketing initiatives.
- Managing and upholding the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistent and impactful representation across all platforms and communications.
- Driving member engagement through targeted, data-informed marketing campaigns that address member interests and expectations.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, including government bodies, industry stakeholders, and members, to advance strategic marketing efforts.
- Cultivating a culture of innovation and creativity within the marketing team by promoting new ideas and continuous improvement.
- Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of marketing strategies.
- Overseeing all marketing and communications vendor relationships, including the selection, coordination, and evaluation of agency partners and service providers.
- Managing the marketing department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and compliance with financial guidelines.
- Preparing and presenting regular updates and performance reports on marketing activities to the executive leadership team and board of directors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in developing and executing marketing strategies, including 5+ years in a senior leadership position.
- Background in the private sector, particularly with experience in sales cycles and marketing tactics, is highly valued.
- Agency management experience.
- Experience within a government-funded or membership-based organization is highly valued.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in marketing research tools and techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
