What You will Do:

Pengcorp is seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Front End UI/UX developer with experience designing intuitive interfaces and applications for cutting edge software for clients in the Oil and Gas industry. Working with the Software Development team, the successful candidate will be:

  • Propose, design, and build UX/UI solutions per client requirements by utilizing visual design concepts, processes, standards, trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Design visually aesthetic and intuitive interfaces in line with best practices in line with customer requirements and decisions as well as industry standard design activities, user accessibility considerations, and product usability.
  • Supporting projects, evaluating, and mitigating challenges related to business operations and product offerings, such as delivering design documentation, reviewing feature implementation.
  • Perform smoke tests to identify gaps in the design and implementation UIs, including but not limited to accessibility concerns, missing features, inconsistencies, and other issues.
  • Collaborate with directors, clients, and team members to identify and obtain requirements to build the best possible product and provide high quality software solutions to suit business operations and needs.
  • Supporting, troubleshooting, testing, implementing, and validating new and existing applications and infrastructure.
  • Perform quality control/quality assurance for deliverables and existing projects.

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years development experience in designing for front end applications that use JavaScript ES6+,CSS, HTML, ReactJS, or AngularJs.
  • Strong portfolio of previous UX design projects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe XD/Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, or other industry standard design tools.
  • Deep understanding of graphic design concepts for user interfaces and experience, usability for functionality and form, and awareness of industry best practices related to accessibility and design, including layouts, typography, and color theory.
  • Solid problem solving and analytical mindset when considering UI issues, layouts, or accessibility problems and design gaps while maintaining creativity in UI designs and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, interpersonal, analytical, time management, and collaborative skills
  • Experience working in Agile (SCRUM) environments
  • Previous background in software development is an asset.
  • Experience with Oil and Gas mechanical engineering is a huge asset
