Job Description

This role requires a candidate with extensive, long-term experience in Personal Assistance and Household Management.

We're looking for an experienced Personal Assistant and House Manager for a private household.

Our client, a highly esteemed professional with vast business interests, runs a private investment firm with a variety of subsidiaries and philanthropic endeavors. Our client is looking for an experienced Personal Assistant and House Manager to assist with personal matters and daily living as well as being able to oversee and assist with the general running of the household.

In this highly trusted role, the Personal Assistant and House Manager will oversee household operations, assist with personal matters and companionship predominantly to the lady of the house, collaborating closely with an existing service providers. This role requires the ability to have a flexible schedule, and experience in this area and living in Vancouver is a must.

Personal Assistant and House Manager responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the calendar for personal appointments
  • Assist with day-to-day activities such as scheduling appointments, organizing mail, and running errand
  • Provide gentle reminders for medications and attending appointments
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, family members, and service professionals
  • Accompany the principle to social events, medical visits, or outings
  • Oversee travel arrangements, including itineraries and associated logistics
  • Research and assist with personal shopping
  • Run errands as needed
  • Manage contractors and service providers for property maintenance

The successful candidate has:

  • 5+ years of extensive experience in direct personal assisting and working directly within a personal household is a must.
  • Experience with individuals experiencing memory loss is an asset.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Kind, respectful, reliable and patient demeanor
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if driving is required)
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving needs
  • High attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to be proactive, open-minded, calm, discreet, and adaptable, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Able to complete a clear criminal record and credit check.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to travel internationally (primarily to the U.S.)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Friendly, respectful, and supportive demeanor

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel into the U.S.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada (citizenship or permanent residence)

Compensation and benefits:

  • The discussed salary range is $90,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
  • Comprehensive benefits package
