Brand Marketing Specialist - 12 Month Contract

Position Overview:

As a Brand Marketing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in building and executing brand strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and growth across CanPrev's product portfolio. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, product development, and sales, to ensure that all marketing initiatives align with CanPrev's brand identity and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute original, creative, and effective marketing campaigns that align with CanPrev's brand mission and prioritize a people-first approach.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand product categories, target audience, consumer demand, and competitive landscape to inform campaign planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including creative, marketing, regulatory, and sales to plan and deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns.
  • Strategically map the customer journey and develop targeted promotions to drive engagement, conversion, and brand loyalty.
  • Write clear and compelling creative briefs for a wide range of content, including video, educational graphics, digital and print assets, and both short- and long-form copy.
  • Manage campaigns from start to finish, including stakeholder coordination, timeline tracking, collateral review, and smooth implementation.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to enhance future initiatives.
  • Begin by supporting and contributing to existing campaigns, with the opportunity to lead and own projects independently as you grow in the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in brand marketing or related roles, preferably in the wellness, health, or CPG industry.
  • Highly creative, energetic, and personable, with a strong ability to generate fresh ideas and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to write creative briefs and collaborate effectively across internal teams.
  • Experience with project coordination and managing timelines and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) and CRM platforms such as Salesforce is considered an asset.
  • Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and available to work in-office on a periodic basis.
  • Genuine interest in natural health and wellness.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to craft messaging that resonates and drives engagement.
  • Ability to interpret consumer insights and market trends to inform brand strategy.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite) to track and report on campaign performance (an asset)

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000

  • This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of becoming full-time.
