With a strong presence in the industry and a dynamic work environment, we are seeking a results-oriented Plant Manager to lead our production operations and drive continuous improvement.
Position Summary:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring efficient and safe plant operations while meeting high-quality standards and achieving performance targets. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strategic mindset, capable of managing and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of plant operations including production, quality, safety, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Manage plant budgets and resources effectively to achieve operational goals.
• Develop and mentor department managers and supervisors to ensure high performance and leadership succession.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, HR, and other departments to support plant initiatives and company objectives.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices throughout the plant.
• Maintain strong labor relations and ensure a respectful, union-aware work environment (unionized experience is an asset).
• Analyze key metrics and performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3–5 years in a Plant Manager role.
• Experience in a unionized environment is considered a strong asset.
• A Bachelor of Science degree is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred; other technical or scientific disciplines may be considered.
• Proven experience leading large teams within complex manufacturing settings.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to drive performance metrics and lead change initiatives.
