Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for a Occupational Therapist position.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify scope of practice and communicate that scope
• Identify possible limitations of practice and attempt to seek out alternative sources of service
• Manage and organize clinical practice
• Ensures patient safety and infection prevention and control relating to position
• Gather and analyse pertinent information to aid in the decision making process
• Determine and/or modify approach to service for each client
• Explore and analyse identified factors or issues
• Reassess and modify the service as required
• Determine when the task or process is complete, review the need for continuing and/or additional services and make recommendations
• Verify each participant's understanding of communication
• Maintain knowledge of federal and provincial legislation and agency policies relevant to practice
• Develop a continuing education plan and implement based on professional needs
• Coordinating the delivery of occupational therapy with services provided by other team members
• Keep informed of current trends in occupational therapy and health care
• Demonstrates knowledge of legal parameters for occupational therapy practice

Qualifications Required

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
• Possess a Practicing Certificate of Registration from the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Possess a current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (B.C.L.S.)

Other pertinent conditions:

• Must be available to work all shifts as required including days, evenings, overnights, weekends and statutory holidays. Hours of work are subject to change.
• Salary per the Non-Union Salary Schedule ($41.57 per hour to $57.99 per hour)
