Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment and is looking to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing payroll function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer full-cycle biweekly, monthly, and quarterly payrolls across Canada and the U.S.
- Process employee changes such as new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and leaves of absence.
- Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Support compliance with payroll legislation and internal controls.
- Assist with payroll audits and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide backup support to the team during peak periods.
- Balance and remit statutory deductions and benefit contributions.
- Issue ROEs and year-end tax slips (T4s/W2s).
- Generate reports using UKG Pro and BI tools.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of payroll administration experience, ideally within professional services
- PCP designation or equivalent
- Experience with UKG Pro is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
