Job Description

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment and is looking to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing payroll function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer full-cycle biweekly, monthly, and quarterly payrolls across Canada and the U.S.
  • Process employee changes such as new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and leaves of absence.
  • Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Support compliance with payroll legislation and internal controls.
  • Assist with payroll audits and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide backup support to the team during peak periods.
  • Balance and remit statutory deductions and benefit contributions.
  • Issue ROEs and year-end tax slips (T4s/W2s).
  • Generate reports using UKG Pro and BI tools.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of payroll administration experience, ideally within professional services
  • PCP designation or equivalent
  • Experience with UKG Pro is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
