Job Summary:
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior Consultant – Data Governance to join the Administration Transformation and Operational Excellence team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to enterprise data governance efforts by collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, and procedures aligned with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a relationship manager and collaborative consultant with business partners on data governance matters
- Understand, review, and document feedback on the evolving Data Governance program and help operationalize it
- Manage relationships, projects, and initiatives within the Administration Functional Group
- Support the Data Governance team with the creation, documentation, and maintenance of materials (e.g., procedure documents)
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve process efficiency
- Conduct analysis of business processes and reporting/functional requirements
- Document and communicate best practices to stakeholders
- Define, develop, and measure quality metrics to ensure compliance with data-related policies and standards
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Experience working in a financial institution
- 2+ years of experience in data governance
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, IF statements)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong relationship management capabilities
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience or working knowledge of Workiva
- DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model) Certification
