Job Title: Vice President of Finance

Job Summary:
The Vice President (VP) of Finance is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a global chemical manufacturing company. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, managing corporate finances, ensuring financial stability, and supporting business growth across multiple international markets. This individual will lead the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, and the implementation of financial best practices to ensure business objectives are achieved while complying with industry regulations and corporate governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Leadership & Strategy:
o Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to support business growth
and profitability.
o Lead long-term financial planning, aligning with the company's overall strategic
goals.
o Partner with executive leadership to provide insights into financial performance,
key business drivers, and operational efficiencies.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis:
o Oversee the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and strategic business plans.
o Analyze financial performance, providing regular reports on variances, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
o Identify opportunities for cost savings, operational improvements, and margin optimization.
3. Global Financial Operations:
o Manage financial operations across multiple countries and regions, ensuring
compliance with local tax regulations, accounting principles, and international
financial reporting standards (IFRS).
o Develop and maintain effective financial controls to ensure accuracy and integrity
of financial data across all locations.
o Oversee cash flow management, foreign exchange risks, and capital allocation on
a global scale.
4. Financial Reporting & Compliance:
o Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with international
regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
o Serve as the point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.
o Lead the company's financial audits and ensure all filings (e.g., SEC, tax filings)
are completed on time and accurately. 5. Risk Management & Internal Controls:
o Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including credit, currency, and interest rate risks.
o Develop and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
o Lead efforts to implement risk mitigation strategies, including hedging and insurance programs.
6. Team Leadership & Development:
o Lead and mentor the global finance team, fostering a high-performance culture
and ensuring the development of future leaders within the department.
o Build cross-functional relationships with other departments such as operations,
sales, and supply chain to drive financial initiatives.
o Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of finance staff
globally.
7. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):
o Assess potential business acquisition opportunities, providing financial due diligence, valuation, and integration plans.
o Manage post-acquisition financial integration and performance tracking.
8. Stakeholder Management:
o Communicate financial results, strategy, and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, investors, and financial institutions.
o Act as a key advisor to the CEO and senior management team on financial matters.
Qualifications:
• Education:
o A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
(required).
o A master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a professional
certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
• Experience:
o 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the chemical manufacturing or a related industrial sector.

o Expertise in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and strategic decision-making. o Experience with international financial regulations, tax compliance, and currency
management.

Physical & Travel Requirements:
