Role : Advisor – Residential Energy Conservation & IRP Programs
Location:North York, ON or Chatham, ON (Hybrid – 3 days in office: Mon, Tues, Thurs)
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Advisor to lead the design and execution of geo-targeted residential energy conservation and demand response programs as part of our Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) initiatives. This exciting opportunity sits within our fast-paced IRP Energy Conservation team and plays a key role in helping shape sustainable, cost-effective energy solutions across Ontario.
You will work closely with cross-functional internal teams, external delivery agents, and regulatory stakeholders to develop, execute, and evolve pilot programs that contribute directly to our IRP strategy and regulatory compliance efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and execution of geo-targeted residential energy efficiency and demand response programs.
- Manage delivery agents and optimize delivery channels to maximize program participation and results.
- Forecast and manage budgets and program performance; identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing to support promotional efforts and drive customer engagement.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders, including community organizations, evaluators, and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to Ontario Energy Board (OEB) filings, including drafting supporting evidence and assisting with regulatory submissions.
- Continuously evolve program design and delivery approach based on pilot results and stakeholder feedback.
- Provide ongoing reporting and insight for compliance and internal analysis.
What You Bring:
- A university degree in Business, Economics, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in:
- Energy conservation or DSM (Demand Side Management)
- Program design, marketing, or implementation
- Project and budget management
- Proven success managing external vendors or delivery partners.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and drive innovation.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with OEB filings or regulatory reporting is a strong asset.
