Technical Project Manager – Azure Migration

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Project Manager with a strong background in Azure cloud migration, who can lead cross-functional technical teams and drive delivery of complex business and technology initiatives—not just report on them.

We need a PM who is highly technical, comfortable challenging engineers and architects, and who can translate business objectives into technical deliverables with a security-first mindset.

Key Skillsets & Experience Required:

✅ Azure Cloud Migration Expertise

• Proven track record managing cloud migration projects, ideally from on-premises or hybrid environments to Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework
• Familiarity with tools and services like Azure Migrate, Azure Arc, Bicep/ARM templates, and Log Analytics

✅ Technical Leadership and Execution

• Experience working directly with cloud architects, DevOps, infrastructure teams, and security to drive execution
• Able to identify and resolve technical blockers, work through dependencies, and align deliverables with architecture and security standards
• Understands networking, identity management, governance, and security principles in Azure environments
• Ability to handle a fast paced, complex environment which will include a Portfolio of multiple projects.

✅ Security and Governance Awareness

• Can proactively manage risks and ensure projects align with enterprise security policies, compliance, and RBAC/least privilege models
• Familiar with Zero Trust principles and secure cloud architecture

✅ Project & Stakeholder Management

• Strong ability to translate business goals into technical milestones, with a bias toward action and delivery
• Confident leading sprint planning, backlog grooming, and tracking progress in tools like Azure DevOps, ServiceNow
• Experienced in managing vendor teams, aligning with enterprise architecture, and working with governance boards

✅ Soft Skills & Communication

• Assertive, clear communicator who can bridge the gap between business, security, and engineering teams
• Comfortable pushing back when needed, while keeping the team aligned and motivated
• Executive-level reporting focused on value and risk, not just status

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of project management experience in technical environments
• 2+ years leading Azure cloud migration or modernization projects
• Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile/Scrum, and SAFe delivery models
• Certifications preferred:
• PMP or PRINCE2
• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)
• Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe, etc.)
