Job Title: Computational Scientist

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Duration: 12 Month extension possible based on needs and performance

Note: The Hiring team is looking for resumes with more in-depth single-cell experience (and ideally with some immunology background)

The ideal candidate will:

• Conduct in-depth, statistically rigorous analyses of diverse NGS datasets (bulk and scRNA-seq) to produce meaningful biological insights.
• Utilize Client's computational pipelines for end-to-end analysis of both established and new high-throughput assays.
• Work with cross-departmental teams including both experimental and computational biologists.

Required Skills and Experience:

• PhD in bioinformatics, genomics, or computational biology
• Good communication skills, including in data visualization, and a strong interest in exploring biological questions.
• Experience analyzing high-throughput data (bulk and scRNA-seq).
• High-level proficiency in R programming language and Bioconductor packages.
• Strong understanding of experimental design.
• Strong computational and analytical skills.
• Experience working in Linux-based server environments.
• Good data science practices and understanding of statistics and data complexity.

A plus, but not essential:

• Experience in analyzing and working with CRISPR screens and ChIP-seq/ATAC-seq.
• Familiarity with public genomic databases (ENCODE, TCGA, GEO, ArrayExpress).
• Familiarity with or interest in immunology.
