We're excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Operational Excellence Manager.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational transformation within a regulated, quality-focused pharmaceutical environment. As the Operational Excellence Manager, you will work cross-functionally to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and embed a culture of Lean thinking and performance excellence across all departments — with a direct focus on compliance, safety, and productivity.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Leading the development and execution of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement strategies across manufacturing, packaging, quality, and support functions
- Facilitating Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving activities to improve efficiency and reduce variability
- Coaching and mentoring cross-functional teams to adopt operational excellence tools and methodologies
- Collaborating with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to align improvement initiatives with business goals and compliance requirements (GMP, cGMP)
- Analyzing performance data and KPI dashboards to identify bottlenecks, track improvements, and ensure sustainable outcomes
- Supporting digital transformation initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes
- Promoting a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and continuous learning
- Providing training on Lean principles, Six Sigma, and process improvement tools
Mandatory Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in operational excellence, Lean manufacturing, or process improvement roles within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Strong understanding of GMP/cGMP, regulatory compliance, and pharmaceutical manufacturing practices
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives with measurable results
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred)
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and coaching skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and performance metrics tracking
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000
