Job Summary:
Trackless Vehicles is seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Manager to lead and oversee our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovative solutions and process improvements while ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
- Develop and implement engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, operations, sales, and other departments.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable provincial and federal regulations.
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to team development and training.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to business growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist C.E.T. Masters degree or P.ENG designation is a strong asset.
- 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and teams effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with engineering and project management tools e.g. SolidWorks, Solid Edge
- Familiarity with Ontario's occupational health and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within a mobile equipment manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Background in Lean manufacturing or Agile methodologies.
- Experience in hydraulic systems and testing
- Experience in Multiplex(can-bus) & Electrical wiring systems
