Our valued telecom client is looking for a Desktop Support Specialist for an awesome one-year on-site contract position with an Extension!
This is an on-site role. Remote work is NOT applicable, and travel between customer sites in the Lower Mainland Area is included.
- Must be consistently available to work the 3:00 – 11:00 PM shift.
- May involve occasional extended hours or weekend work during peak refresh periods.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required based on site-specific protocols.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented **PC Refresh Technician** to join our on-premise IT operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing device lifecycle activities as part of our enterprise-wide PC Refresh initiative. You will ensure seamless deployment, configuration, and migration of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices across the organization, providing a high-quality user experience while minimizing downtime.
Must-Have Skills:
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis – Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Operating Systems & Virtualization – Proficient in Windows (client/server), and platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Cloud & Networking Knowledge – Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Scripting & Automation – Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools to automate tasks.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) – Experience with Intune, or other MDM platform
- Certifications – ITIL, CompTIA (A+, Network+), or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
