Position Title: Network Design Engineer

Location: Regina, SK (Hybrid)

Overview:

Charter is currently seeking one (1) experienced Network Design Engineer to join our team starting July 2025. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience designing and delivering business-aligned network solutions/architecture that support short and long-term organizational goals. Strong leadership skills and experience (T3) in network architecture, design, implementation, and Tier 3 network operation for Network and cyber security infrastructures is required. Previous experience in project leadership diverse network systems, technologies and project documentations is also required. Active industry recognized certifications are required: CCIE, CCDE, and TOGAF. Location: Regina, SK (Hybrid). Term: 24 months. Candidates must reside in Regina, SK for the duration of the project.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 6+ years of experience designing and delivering business-aligned network solutions/architecture that support short and long-term organizational goals.
• Strong leadership skills and experience (T3) in network architecture, design, implementation, and Tier 3 network operation for Network and cyber security infrastructures is required.
• 6+ years of experience designing complex network solutions including Data Center networks, Enterprise LAN/WAN, and Cloud environments is required.
• 6+ years of experience designing and delivering business aligned network solutions/architecture is required.
• Experience in understanding/gathering business requirements and translating into technology solutions.
• 6+ years of experience operating complex networks (T3), including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, is required.
• Experience solving business problems by applying networking systems, technologies and protocols is required.
• Previous experience in project leadership and project documentations is required.
• Education: Degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
• Active industry certifications: CCIE, CCDE and TOGAF are required.
• Experience in network management, i.e., DCIM, DDI, NMS.
• Experience in programming/scripting, i.e., Python, Perl.
• Experience in automation, i.e., Ansible, Netmiko, Puppet, Chef.
• Experience in Cybersecurity i.e. NAC, NGFW, Proxy, WAF, DDoS, IPS/IDS
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
