Guru Studio's dedicated team is passionate about bringing inspired character driven stories to screens around the world. Our award winning and internationally renowned Toronto animated entertainment company is looking for a People & Talent Coordinator to join our dynamic People & Culture Team!

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to Director, People & Culture (Your Supervisor);

People & Culture:

  • Be the friendly first stop for employee questions via the People & Culture inbox.
  • Keep our BambooHR system neat and current: tracking everything from time off to reporting lines and compensation.
  • Lead the onboarding experience: coordinate welcome emails, paperwork, orientations, and all the little touches that make a big first impression.
  • Make sure everyones up to date on required Health & Safety and AODA training.
  • Keep employee records and files organized and compliant with legal and internal policies.
  • Track employment contracts and amendments, and follow up with the right folks to keep things moving.
  • Manage benefit enrolments, changes, and exits and help answer questions when they come up.
  • Guide offboarding with care by updating systems, coordinating benefits, and making sure we learn from every exit.
  • Review exit feedback, spot the patterns, and share your insights to help us grow.
  • Support a variety of internal P&C activities including Town Halls, presentations, spreadsheets, and drafting letters for work permits or residencies.
  • Keep an ear on platforms like Glassdoor and help us stay in tune with employee feedback.
  • Get involved! Join our Joint Health & Safety Committee, Social Committee, and Guru Gives team to help shape our culture.
  • Jump into People & Culture projects and new ideas whenever they pop upwere always evolving.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Help drive our hiring process from start to finish including resume reviews, pre-screens, interview coordination, and offer letters.
  • Partner with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage open roles, track referrals, and create a top-notch candidate experience.
  • Keep candidate records up to date in BambooHR and other internal tools.
  • Assist in reviewing and refreshing job descriptions with a focus on inclusive hiring practices.
  • Join us at outreach events, whether thats school visits, industry panels, or studio tours (virtual and in person).
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment and onboarding as needed.

Qualifications:

  • One to two years of experience in a People & Culture or Talent Acquisition support role.
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and familiar with tools like BambooHR, applicant tracking systems, and LinkedIn Talent Solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skillsyou keep things on track and on time.
  • Trustworthy and discreet when handling sensitive information.
  • Friendly, clear communicator with a knack for building strong relationships.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and happy to roll with the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of animation.
