Job Summary: The Training, Safety & Documentation Specialist is accountable for the strategic direction, continuous improvement, and compliance of training, health and safety, and documentation programs across the organization. This role leads program development, oversees SOP lifecycle management, manages safety compliance and reporting, and mentors the Training Facilitator as part of succession planning. The Specialist works collaboratively with department leaders and ensures alignment with company values of humble, driven, and solutions-oriented. The ideal candidate will embody the company's values of being humble, driven, and solutions-oriented.
Humble – Employees that are team players and are respectful of others and the job at hand. Great team players lack excessive ego or concerns about status. Humble employees are quick to point out contributions of others and slow to seek attention of their own.
Driven – Employees who are motivated and focused on self improvement. Driven or hungry employees are always looking for more. More things to do, learn, and take responsibility for. They never have to be pushed by a manager to work harder because they are self-motivated and diligent.
Solutions Oriented – Employees who focus on solving, and preventing problems from occurring, not just identifying them. This is equal parts of problems with systems and processes and the common sense that an employee has about people. They are aware, act appropriately, ask good questions, and listen to understand.
Role and Accountability:
  • Set the overall vision, strategy, and priorities for training, documentation, and health and safety programs.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Training Facilitator, assigning research tasks, reviewing recommendations, and approving final training content before delivery.

  • Collaborate closely with department leaders to understand needs, drive alignment, and escalate safety and training issues as needed.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships related to training, documentation, and safety.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to foster a culture of safety, compliance, and employee development.
  • Facilitate communication of updates, procedural changes, and training initiatives across departments.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts for training and safety functions to align with organizational goals and regulatory changes.
  • Attend relevant department and company-wide meetings, including Level 10 meetings, contributing to organizational alignment and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to address challenges, develop solutions, and align strategies with company goals.
  • Utilize Microsoft To-Do (or similar) for task tracking and reminders, ensuring productivity and accountability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and training program development.

  • Proficient in SOP lifecycle management and document control.
  • Excellent analytical skills for safety data and training effectiveness.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and training platforms.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
