As our Sous-Chef, you'll shape menus that celebrate Alberta's wild places—think bison short rib glazed with local honey, spruce-tip beurre blanc, foraged berry gastriques—all served in a dining room where guests swap hiking tales by the fire.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the Line & Inspire the Team – Run smooth, high-touch dinner services for 30–40 covers, mentoring a tight-knit brigade of cooks and apprentices.

  • Craft Seasonal Menus – Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design tasting menus that spotlight regional farms, ranches, and foragers.

  • Drive Quality & Consistency – Own daily mise en place, ordering, inventory, and HACCP standards; your station is spotless and your plating photo-ready every night.

  • Innovate & Educate – Host occasional chef's-table evenings and mini-workshops for guests curious about sourdough starters, foraging, or nose-to-tail butchery.

  • Champion Sustainability – Reduce waste and build relationships with local producers along Highway 11 and the Icefields Parkway.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 3+ years in fine-dining kitchens (mountain or resort experience a bonus).

  • You thrive on collaboration, calm leadership, and turning service challenges into teachable moments.

  • Knife skills so clean they'd make a Swiss watch jealous; plating that tells a story.

  • You're as excited about a 50-km radius carrot as you are about truffle oil—and you know when to use each.

  • Eligible to work in Canada and comfortable living in a remote, adventure-rich setting.
