Job Title: Solderer/Brazer
Location: Kennedy and Courtneypark, Mississauga
Reports To: Coils & Risers Supervisor
Shift time: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
Payrate: $20.40/hour

Position Summary:
The Solderer/Brazer is responsible for assembling and securing copper piping and components to HVAC subassemblies using soldering or brazing techniques. This role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials, and ensuring all work meets quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine necessary components, valves, and soldering/brazing processes.
Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and bending copper to ensure accurate assembly.
Assemble, align, and secure copper pipes and valves to coil or riser units for soldering or brazing.
Meet daily production targets while upholding quality control standards.
Accurately document production data and maintain records.
Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the soldering/brazing area.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Oxy-Acetylene soldering and brazing.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Skilled in using hand and pneumatic tools.
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
