This is a 6 month contract role.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst (IT Enterprise Applications – Microsoft 365 and Office Digital Solutions) is responsible for providing system and solution analysis, eliciting and understanding business requirements, translating business requirements into solution design and configuration, facilitating implementation plans and testing solutions while providing a trusted liaison interface between IT and IMCO Microsoft 365 stakeholders. This individual will apply and follow best practice analysis and design processes and has familiarity with modern Microsoft cloud-based Information Technology capabilities and contemporary Office Digital Solutions beyond Microsoft offerings. Additionally, this role includes responsibilities for developing enterprise solutions based on stakeholder requirements within agile methodology frameworks, ensuring adherence to best practices in solution promotion across lower and production environments, and leveraging well-documented design patterns to facilitate scalable and maintainable solutions. Strong documentation and project management skills are vital for maintaining transparency and ensuring the success of enterprise initiatives. Experience in compliance, risk management, or legal subject matters is considered an asset, as is familiarity with industry standards and best practices in these areas.

This position will specialize in developing and supporting Corporate and Investment Compliance automation solutions while working primarily on Microsoft collaboration solutions, including SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps (Model Driven), Power Automate, Power BI, CoPilot Studio, Exchange Online, Forms, Planner, Flow, OneDrive, AZURE AI Foundry, and other tools. The successful candidate may be tasked with various corporate or enterprise initiatives. Experience in other areas such as project management, agile methodology, building AI agents, and Dynamics 365 Modules is a definite asset. The position reports to the Manager of Microsoft 365 and Office Digital Solutions, who may assign project/solution/enhancement roles covering both tactical and strategic initiatives. The overarching organizational responsibility is to deliver value-added business solutions while ensuring adherence to IMCO's processes and procedures and overall supportability of all applications once projects are live.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess clients' business models and their integration with technology, and perform a liaison function between business, managed services vendor, Microsoft, and IT. Interact with clients and vendors to discover, document and contribute to solution requirements, designs, and user manuals. Analyze, document, and contribute to business processes and related business requirements from various stakeholders to implement Microsoft 365 and other Office Digital solutions.
  • Assure continuity and transparency of the support function and timely resolution of clients' issues. Stay familiar with multiple approaches to problem-solving. Manage issues through to completion.
  • Develop enterprise solutions based on stakeholder requirements following agile methodology principles. Ensure solutions adhere to best practices for promotion across lower and production environments. Employ design patterns that are scalable, maintainable, and well-documented to ensure the quality and sustainability of deliverables.
  • Ensure that business requirements and solution designs are understood and required artifacts are completed on time with high accuracy and quality levels. Define artifact types and configuration item types, storage strategies, locations, organization, and templates related to enterprise solutions.
  • Maintain strong documentation practices to ensure clarity, consistency, and comprehensive tracking of all aspects of development and implementation processes. Apply project management skills to oversee initiatives, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables align with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science field or equivalent work experience of more than five years. More than five years in a related role within the Microsoft 365 solution set and other Office Digital Solutions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite and ability to implement collaboration solutions within the Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Power Apps (Model Driven), Power Automate, CoPilot Studio, Power BI, PowerShell, Forms, Planner, OneDrive and other tools)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of traditional Microsoft Office productivity tools, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and especially Excel
  • Familiarity with the configuration of Adobe products, especially Adobe Sign
  • Familiarity with the configuration of Teams Meetings
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Services, especially Active Directory
  • Microsoft 365 tenant and Intranet implementation skills
  • SharePoint Online customization and implementation skills
  • Able to have engaging conversations with customers about Microsoft 365 usage and functionality to resolve issues and increase adoption
  • Ability to Integrate with Azure assets
  • Experience working with Microsoft support services and Microsoft Partners
  • Experience with Microsoft's Power BI would be beneficial
  • Experience with the user, role, and security management is an asset
  • Familiarity with Managed Cloud Services support models is an asset
  • Knowledge of solutions analysis methodologies and best practices. Strong understanding of SDLC cycle, techniques and tools
  • Experience in analyzing the business requirements, gap analysis and data mapping
  • Experience as a user of ERP solutions is an asset
  • Practical training and educational material preparation and delivery experience is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with vendors, end-users, IT personnel, and other parties
  • Experienced with multiple project management techniques and tools and demonstrated flexibility and understanding of when to apply them. Good knowledge of software testing techniques
  • Exposure to Enterprise Application Integration projects and principles would be an asset, as well as exposure to other business areas and solutions
  • Professionalism, integrity, strong quantitative skills, and prioritizing assignments and work within a closely-knit team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to manage their workload effectively and perform sound time management. Results-oriented and client-focused
