Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, and bridge developments.
- Define and control project scopes, timelines, budgets, risk profiles, and resource planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and government agencies.
- Supervise the preparation and evaluation of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and cost assessments.
- Manage procurement activities, including drafting RFPs, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
- Monitor construction activities through site inspections, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Identify risks and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum and cost efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members, including junior engineers and coordinators.
- Compile and deliver regular project updates, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Uphold environmental, safety, and quality standards throughout all stages of project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree considered an asset).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or PE) designation strongly preferred; flexibility may be considered based on experience.
- Over 10 years of progressive project management experience in infrastructure, with a minimum of 5 years focused on road and bridge projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale transportation projects with multi-million-dollar budgets.
- In-depth understanding of construction practices, materials, and engineering codes.
- Strong knowledge of local, regional, and national transportation regulations and standards.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6, and design software like AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
- Experience with Design-Build project delivery methods.
