Our client is a high growth Manufacturing Company in Toronto, looking for a Vice President, Finance / Head of Finance / Chief Financial Officer with a strategic mindset and a demonstrated track record in leading financial operations for a manufacturing company. The Vice President, Finance / Head of Finance / Chief Financial Officer role reports to the CEO and requires a strong leader, who is hands on and will develop a robust financial and operating environment to effectively drive change and ensure sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the company's objectives.
o Lead financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
o Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
· Financial Management and Reporting:
o Oversee all financial operations including accounting, finance, forecasting, and reporting.
o Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and presentations to the board of directors, investors, and stakeholders.
o Monitor and analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
· Capital Goods, Material Cost, and Flow:
o Understand the financial implications of capital goods, material costs, and flow within the manufacturing process.
o Implement cost control measures and optimize material flow to enhance profitability.
o Collaborate with operations to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
· Treasury and Risk Management:
o Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management, investments, and financing.
o Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the company's assets.
o Oversee insurance, hedging requirements, and other risk mitigation strategies.
· Operational Efficiency:
o Oversee the management of capital structure. Optimize financial operations and processes to improve efficiency and profitability.
o Collaborate with other departments to drive operational improvements and cost reductions.
Key Requirements:
· CPA/CMA with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role.
· Proven track record of success in the manufacturing industry.
· Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategy.
· Understanding of capital goods, material costs, and flow, and their impact on financial performance.
· Demonstrated ability to implement financial strategies to support high-growth environments.
· Strategic thinker with a proactive approach. Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Experience in overseeing shared services
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving abilities and knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
· Superior communication and interpersonal skills
