Wildstone Construction is currently recruiting for a Journeyperson Electrician. Our electrical team supports our water/wastewater, energy, and institutional projects, collaborating with our in-house Mech/HVAC division to provide control wiring capabilities. Were looking for a motivated and highly- skilled Journeyperson confident in their ability to direct and supervise tasks to get the job done!
The ideal candidate will be experienced in:
- Cable Tray & Teck cable installation methods.
- Switchgear, MCC, equipment & generator installation methods.
- PLC & Instrumentation wiring & termination standards
- Familiar with cable schedules, control wiring diagrams andPLC io drawings.
- Installation of outdoor pad mounted switchgear, oil filled transformers, and containerized equipment.
- Termination of 25kv deadbreak elbows
Youll travel for work to locations throughout BC, the Yukon and occasionally the Northwest Territories. Our crews typically work 21/7 rotations, travel in and out of various locations, work 10-hour shifts on average, and enjoy the comforts of home in well-maintained crew houses.
Your day to day:
- Underground and slab conduit and grounding.
- Building wiring - typically EMT, Rigid, PVC or Teck.
- Installation of power distribution switchgear, backup generators, transformers, motor control centers, PLC control panels, VFDs, pumps, and instrumentation.
- Motor control wiring, process instrument control wiring, and HVAC control wiring.
Additional qualities were looking for:
- FSR Certified Red Seal Journeyperson Electricianwith experience on ICI work sites.
- Able to follow Canadian Electric Code, and BC Hydro, Fortis, and ATCO electrical standards.
- Proficient with Procore and MS Office 365.
- Able to fulfill the physical requirements of the role.
- Valid driver's license. Trailer towing experience an asset.
