At CAAT, we're passionate about what we do. And it shows!

Here, you'll find a cultural spark in everything we do – from the way we partner with members and employers, to the way we work, collaborate, and grow. It doesn't just feel different at CAAT. It is different. We're one of the fastest-growing pensions in the country for a reason. We challenge the status quo, making a real impact on the hundreds of employers we serve – from education institutions to major corporations and household brands. And we're just getting started. Driven by core values and a shared purpose, we're fierce champions for better retirement security, known for our can-do culture where everyone plays a role in bringing our vision to life. If this sounds like a fit, we'd love you to be a part of it.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Pension Analyst, Member Services, who will be integral to the success of the Member Services team, and to CAAT's guiding mission and growth strategy. The Senior Pension Analyst reviews, processes, authorizes complex, escalated, and/or high-profile cases, performs routine and specialized calculations (when required), provides training to new staff, and acts as a lead in the absence of the Team Lead, Member Services.

As the Newest Member of our Team, You'll:

  • Act as the first point of contact for member and employer queries, attempting to resolve issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Update member's data and calculate specific entitlements, as required, based on data and eligibility as prescribed by the Plan and legislation.
  • Conduct peer reviews of calculations, documents, and maintain recordkeeping as needed.
  • Approve new payment setups for pension entitlements and ensure these are processed within established service standards and in compliance with Plan provisions and regulatory requirements.
  • Support required system updates and identify opportunities to streamline processes by making improvements to the Pension Administration System.
  • Review pension administration activities, identify process gaps, and propose updates or procedural improvements.
  • Participate in escalated cases, member initiatives, and projects as required.
  • Participate in structured training sessions to increase knowledge related to the plan document and legislation.
  • Lead training sessions for new team members and employer Administrators on Plan text, systems, and departmental policies.
  • Coordinate information updates for staff and ensure adherence to updated processes and procedures.

To Succeed, You Bring:

  • A College Diploma or University Degree, with a minimum of 5 years of experience with Multi-Employer Pension Plan (MEPP), public sector pension administration, or through an outsourcing service provider involving direct member/client interactions.
  • Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC), Certified Employee Benefit Specialist Program (CEBS), or Certified Benefits Professional designation, or actively pursuing these qualifications.
  • Understanding of Defined Benefit Pension administration systems and working with pension plan texts, participation agreements, and multi-jurisdictional employer interactions.
  • Experience in all types of pension life event calculations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a mathematical aptitude.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional judgement, logic, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while effectively managing multiple tasks.

At CAAT, we believe innovation, passion, and purpose are ingredients for a great work environment. We're incredibly proud of our people and the remarkable impact they have as catalysts for change.
