This firm operates across various sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, and mixed-use. They are seeking a Senior Interior Design Technologist to join their team in the Edmonton Studio. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage project timelines for delivering technical project documentation for projects of all sizes and types.
- Address and resolve design and technical challenges; offer technical expertise in the detailed architectural design for diverse project scales and complexities.
- Produce contract drawings and align specifications, schedules, details, and sketches from the initial design phase through to construction.
- Provide guidance and direction to team members to improve the group's efficiency and effectiveness in architectural tasks.
- Lead the creation of architectural BIM models from Concept/Schematic Design through all design and construction stages.
- Facilitate model and drawing coordination with the project consultant team using cloud-based platforms.
- Participate in contract administration of medium to large projects including, discipline coordination and direct interaction with clients, regulatory authorities, and contractors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in interior design, with a focus on technologist and project management.
- Prior commercial, institutional, corporate and/ or healthcare project experience is required.
- Strong aesthetic sense and the ability to translate client needs to innovative design solutions
- Architectural Technology or Interior Design Technology Diploma or equivalent.
- Full proficiency in Revit and SketchUp.
- Enjoys mentoring, has strong communication skills and is a collaborative team player.
The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $85,000 - $110,000 (depending on experience), health & dental benefits, 3 weeks' vacation + the week off over Christmas.
