Director, Project Management Office (PMO)

Role Summary
Reporting to the President, the Director PMO's primary mission is to drive quality, scalability, optimization, and growth for Centrilogic In the following areas of responsibility:
- Project Management
- Portfolio Management
The PMO Director will oversee projects and ensure that they are completed on time and within budget. A successful candidate will ensure all team members uphold standards throughout each project's development and execution. They are also responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining talent in the PMO.
The PMO Director will lead the development and continuous improvement of Project Delivery in relation to processes and methodologies to maximize customer satisfaction and profitable service delivery while minimizing customer churn.
The PMO Director will oversee project portfolio management for both customer-facing and internal projects and programs. In addition, they will develop a range of customer-facing services including PMOaaS and Project Management Staff augmentation solutions.
The PMO Director will support Sales processes to ensure consistency in quotation quality to mitigate revenue leakage associated with Project Delivery.
Direct Reports (approximately 12)
- Full-time Project Managers
- Contract Project Managers (as needed to supplement short term gaps in full-time staff resources)
- PMO Administration Staff (including Order Management, which is the part of the Quote to Cash process between Sales Orders and Finance Order/Billing entry)
Mandatory Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- IT Project Management experience > 10 years (mix of infrastructure and data/applications is ideal, including multi-million-dollar projects/programs)
- Project Portfolio Management experience >3 years
- PMO Leadership > 1 Year or equivalent
- Experience leading contracting/SOW negotiations for deals > $100K TCV
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
- PMP certification or equivalent
Important Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Some working knowledge of business processes and data flows across Finance, Sales & Marketing, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Supply Chain operations.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen
- Agile/Scrum Project experience & certification
- ITL certification or Working knowledge of ITIL
- Working knowledge of Lean methodology
Desirable Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent
- MS PWA management/administration
- Power BI configuration & Report Generation Skill
Primary Responsibilities
- Enhance Project Management Office capabilities to drive delivery excellence on projects.
- Refine existing PMO delivery frameworks for specific Practice Delivery models
- Provide Program and Project Management support for Internal projects as agreed to supplement the Business Transformation group
- Define and launch a new PMO as a Service (PMOaaS)
- Establish effective project and portfolio health metrics and reporting for top accounts
- Support strategic initiatives to unify major systems and processes across the organization (financial, HR, Internal IT, operational, ticketing, etc.)
- People leadership of the team and associated talent plan, including hiring/recruiting, development, and retention
- Manage the planning, budgeting, and annual financials for the PMO team
- Partner closely with Practice area leaders and Sales leader in support of project delivery
- Leadership of the PMO with line-management responsibilities for all PMO Project Managers.
- Run weekly / monthly project reporting / governance processes.
- Build multi-level (e.g. executive, director, PM), automated dashboards for internal and client consumption
- Recruit, onboard, coach and support Project Managers and other team members
- Manage PMO demand and capacity planning
- Assign Project Managers to pursuits / projects based on availability/ skills
- Review proposals/SOWs (Threshold & Policy TBD) to ensure a high-level of quality from both a technical and business perspective.
- Develop standard approach for Project Managers project effort estimates.
- Develop / improve project management approach documentation.
- Ensure timesheet compliance and accuracy across project managers.
