Insurance Account Manager - Desjardins Insurance Agency

Position Overview:

I'm seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and fun individual for the role of an Insurance Account Manager in our locally owned Desjardins Insurance Agency. We are a full-service agency specializing in Car, Home, Rec Vehicles, Commercial and Life/Health Insurance. We are growing out team through this addition, as such, this role will require the right candidate to demonstrate a desire to achieve uncapped compensation through a combination of salary and unlimited commission structure by bringing your "grow a business, within the business" mentality along with your ability to nurture and grow relationships with clients. If you speak a second language, awesome!

Although nice to have, it's not a requirement to have your insurance licenses, the right individual is more important to me. We will provide the training and development necessary to be successful while also sponsoring you for the required regulatory licensing needed. You can have confidence that the current team of 5 will be fully vested in your success through on-going training, development and collaboration. You bring the knowledge and awareness that it's relationships that lead to successful results in growing a business. You will be a strategic partner working with clients in articulating the problem you solve with the solutions you present. Earning Potential:

$50,000 starting base salary + uncapped commissions

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and develop client leads, schedule appointments, uncover customer needs, and present appropriate products and service solutions
  • Leverage product and sales process training to build your desired income earning potential
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and extraordinary client experience
  • A typical day may include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, coverages, policy changes, transfers, prospecting, cold-calling etc.
  • Working alongside the team and Agent/Owner in growing the business while developing yourself for advancement and income growth
  • Be excited about the opportunity to learn and develop yourself in an exciting career

Requirements:

  • Previous sales experience would be considered an asset (outside/inside sales, retail sales, telemarketing)
  • Be motiviated through achievement of your own success
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Social Media tools and willing/comfortable using them to interact with clients
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to obtain your Property & Casualty and Life Insurance licenses (we will pay for and support you in obtaining these if you don't already have them)
