This is a pivotal role for a hands-on, business-savvy professional who wants to be a strategic stakeholder while remaining deeply connected to day-to-day operations.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the executive team, the Director of Finance & Accounting will lead finance and accounting functions, help steer strategic decision-making, and support cross-functional teams as the company continues to scale. You'll wear multiple hats—from high-level planning to detailed financial analysis—and you'll be seen as a key business partner across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Financial Strategy & Leadership: Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance management while advising senior leadership on opportunities and risks.
- Operational Oversight: Manage financial reporting, accounting systems, and inventory costing processes aligned with manufacturing and distribution operations.
- People Leadership: Oversee a dedicated team and provide strategic direction in areas including HR oversight, organizational development, and performance management.
- Cross-Functional Impact: Collaborate with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to align financial planning with business outcomes.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in finance and accounting leadership roles, ideally in manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
- A passion for continuous improvement, both in systems and in people.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable navigating between the boardroom and the shop floor—and energized by both.
- An active lifestyle and appreciation for the outdoors is a plus, aligning with the company's values and culture.
