Location: Ottawa, ON
Position: Full-Time / 40 hours
Language: FULLY Bilingual (French and English)
Shift: Monday - Friday 0800-1600 (may be required to work outside of these hours as needed)
Pay Rate: $28.85 / hour

Security Account Manager - Healthcare Portfolio (Multi-Site)
As a Security Account Manager with Allied Universal®, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across a portfolio of healthcare sites. This role includes the management and professional development of site-specific and mobile security teams. The Security Account Manager is accountable for maintaining high standards of service delivery across all assigned locations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and client expectations.
Key responsibilities include building, improving, and sustaining strong relationships with healthcare clients and staff; supporting recruitment and retention initiatives; coordinating operational support and resources across sites; and resolving service challenges in a timely manner. The Security Account Manager is expected to meet or exceed financial, compliance, and operational goals while delivering responsive and compassionate customer service tailored to healthcare environments.
Additional duties include managing and approving weekly schedules across multiple locations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for assigned personnel, and providing after-hours emergency response as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the day-to-day security operations across multiple healthcare sites within the assigned portfolio.
- Manage a diverse team of security personnel, including site and shift supervisors, across multiple locations-responsible for recruitment, scheduling, payroll, onboarding, training, coaching, performance development, and ongoing support.
- Ensure all sites consistently receive high-quality security services that protect people, property, and sensitive healthcare environments.
- Build, strengthen, and maintain effective working relationships with clients, site contacts, and frontline employees across the healthcare portfolio.
- Coordinate required operational and administrative support services to manage each site efficiently, meet or exceed financial and compliance objectives, and deliver client-centred service excellence.
- Support the security team in all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) matters, including incident investigations, completion of Learning from Incidents (LFI) documentation, and reinforcement of a safety-first culture across all locations.
- Lead the development and implementation of multi-site security policies, programs, and contingency plans to mitigate risk and align with healthcare standards and accreditation requirements.
- Facilitate security awareness sessions and conduct internal investigations related to site-specific incidents, breaches, or concerns.
- Conduct mid-year and year-end performance evaluations for all security staff under the portfolio, ensuring consistency and alignment with company and client expectations.
- Provide and coordinate security-related emergency response services across the portfolio, ensuring effective communication and execution of site-wide protocols in the event of an emergency.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post secondary education preferred, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid security license
- Minimum of two (2) years of security supervisory experience
- Valid Class G -driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
- Bilingual - French and English (verbal and written)
Additional Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in recruiting, developing, motivating, and retaining high-performing security professionals within healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with healthcare clients, interdisciplinary site teams, and security personnel across multiple locations.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, respond to urgent matters, and coordinate resources across multiple healthcare sites.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with security technologies and access control systems commonly used in healthcare settings (e.g., CCTV, panic alarms, visitor management systems) is an asset.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assess risk, respond to incidents, and implement practical, timely solutions in alignment with healthcare safety and confidentiality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting, scheduling, and internal communications.
