We're currently seeking Rail Yard Transload Operators – Level 2 and 3 to join our team in Grande Prairie, AB. - Operate Yard Equipment – Use rail car openers, hydraulic jacks, hand tools, loaders, and other specialized equipment.
- Perform Transloading Tasks – Load and unload dry bulk and fluid trucks, assist drivers with offloading at offsite locations.
- Ensure Rail Operations Compliance – Follow proper procedures for opening/closing rail cars, track access, and safety flag requirements.
- Handle Scale Operations – Weigh in/out trucks and complete scale tickets accurately.
- Maintain the Facility – Perform housekeeping duties, general upkeep, grass cutting, snow removal, painting, and more.
- Work Independently – Once trained, you'll be expected to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Commit to Safety – Follow all JHA's, SWP's, and participate in daily toolbox and monthly safety meetings.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work in a team-oriented, safety-focused environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, dark).Punctuality and reliability – this job requires commitment.
- Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation.
- A mechanically inclined background (an asset but not required)
- Experience operating equipment such as skid steers, front-end loaders, or rail car movers (preferred but not required).
- Willingness to learn and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to perform physical labour (lifting, bending, twisting).
- Availability to work a regular 40-hour workweek, with some weekends and call-outs as needed.
