Position Overview:
- We are seeking experienced Maintenance Millwrights to join a leading food and beverage manufacturing team in Guelph, Ontario. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Execute work orders safely and in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation including permits, parts requests, and work order completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in safety audits.
- Follow company policies and adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Valid Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License).
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (e.g., lifting 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing ladders).
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to work in varied environmental conditions (heat, cold, loud noise, etc.) with appropriate PPE.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts with advance notice.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights (4 feet and above).
- Skilled in electrical, welding, pipe fitting, fabrication, rigging, lubrication, and pump systems.
- Prior experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations) and/or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus.
