Duration: Fixed Term Contract End Date: 11-month contract

Location: 1755 Steeles Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario

Hourly rate for this position: $35.63

There are a total of 6 openings under recruitment to support night-time operations.

About the Job:

We are seeking up to 6 dedicated and detail-oriented Egg Handlers to join our Vaccines Flu Manufacturing department on an 11-month contract. These part-time positions are 30 hours per week, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to world healthcare, while working in a dynamic and supportive environment. Major Responsibilities:

  • Perform and support upstream operations activities.

  • Management of eggs flow through the Flu manufacturing process including receipt of egg deliveries. inspection and egg waste handling.

  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance through process improvement, housekeeping, inspection readiness activities and other duties as assigned such as egg related data collection activities.

  • Maintain safe work environment by following HSE requirements.

About You (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum six (6) months of previous relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous or current experience in the food, warehouse, assembly and/or manufacturing industries

  • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing and/or Laboratory Practices

  • Basic mechanical skills, initiative, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, interpersonal skills, and stress/time management.

Hours Of Work & Working Conditions:

  • Inclusive from Sun, Mon, Weds, Thurs 10pm – 6am.

  • During the period of onboarding and training (approximately 7 weeks) you will be required to work 5 days a week on day shift, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM (subject to change based on business needs).

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing/laboratory environment including lifting (up to 20kg) and standing for extended periods of time.

  • Must receive an influenza vaccine in order to enter production facilities and perform the required job responsibilities.
