Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Superintendent Interiors to join our clients team in Etobicoke. This individual will oversee all on-site aspects of interior construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in commercial interior construction and strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day site operations for interior fit-out projects (commercial/retail/institutional).
- Coordinate all site activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and trades.
- Ensure adherence to construction schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Conduct daily site meetings and manage on-site documentation (e.g., logs, reports, inspections).
- Liaise with the Project Manager to report progress, address challenges, and manage changes.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure all work meets design and code requirements.
- Enforce site safety and cleanliness standards in accordance with OHSA and company policies.
- Act as the main point of contact on-site, representing Primary Construction professionally with clients and consultants.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent, specifically in interior construction.
- Proven success leading commercial or institutional interior fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency with construction management software is an asset.
- Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation.
