Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service, electrical systems, including the ability to work with power tools and hand tools and read blueprints. Experience with hydraulics is a definite asset. This role requires expertise in both low voltage and industrial electrical work, as well as familiarity with logic controllers. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. Candidate MUST have their journeymen ticket and driver's license.

** This is a part time/casual position; perfect for a semi-retired journeymen electrician OR a journeymen electrician who is looking for extra work.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, and industrial environments.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Renovate existing electrical installations to meet current codes and standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Work with low voltage systems as well as high voltage applications when necessary.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and practices while performing duties.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Journeyperson in the service field.
• Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools related to electrical work.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety practices, and regulations.
• Experience with logic controllers is preferred.
• Experience with hydraulics is an asset.
• Familiarity with industrial electrician tasks is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints accurately is essential for successful execution of projects.
• A maintenance person background may be beneficial for diverse project requirements.
