1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for a Manager, Search to join our growing team! The Manager Search will provide strategic oversight and manage the day-to-day operations of our Paid Search and SEO efforts. Leading a dedicated team and working closely with key stakeholders, this role will ensure the effective execution of search programs, drive performance improvements, and contribute directly to our overall marketing success.
Key responsibilities include the strategic planning and implementation of search campaigns, managing team and agency partnerships, and providing insightful performance reporting to guide decision-making. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong leadership, and a passion for the evolving search landscape.

- Work closely with leadership to ensure planned programs align with goals.
- Proactively identify potential gaps where program quantity or quality may exceed or fall short of targets.
- Meet regularly with teams and external partners to align on program execution, discuss performance, and optimize campaign tactics.
- Provide internal teams with insights and talking points to effectively communicate search performance and initiatives to Franchise Partners.
- Demonstrate a strong leadership presence and foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain consistent one-on-ones, team meetings and coaching opportunities, as well as driving development outcomes for the team
- Drive the development and implementation of A/B tests and other experiments to continuously improve search campaign performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Analyze search campaign data to identify key trends, insights, and areas for optimization, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics teams and vendors to enhance data integration and develop more comprehensive attribution models for search channels.
- Lead the evolution of reporting for Franchise Partners, ensuring clarity, relevance, and alignment with their specific needs and business goals.
- Oversee the development and review of Paid Search (PPC) forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with budget and business objectives.
???? What You Bring To The Table
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Paid Search (Google Ads, Bing Ads) strategies and teams, with a strong understanding of best practices, industry trends, and platform capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful search marketing campaigns—including SEO and SEM—that drive measurable results and align with overall business objectives.
- Hands-on experience with key Google marketing tools such as Google Ads, SA360, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics to manage, track, and optimize campaign performance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
- Proficiency in using visualization and analytics tools such as Google Sheets, Excel, Google Data Studio, Tableau, or similar platforms to extract, organize, and analyze data from advertising and business intelligence platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing testing frameworks and methodologies that drive continuous optimization in search marketing.
- Excellent leadership, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders.
- A proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to anticipate trends in the digital marketing landscape—across both paid and organic channels—and translate them into actionable growth strategies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Salary $84,000 - $112,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
