Job Summary

The Payroll Administrator will assist with the preparation and processing of the division's payroll, while providing superior service to both internal and external customers. This position requires an individual with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and an ability to contribute to a positive culture based on mutual trust and respect while delivering results.

Job Duties

  • Process biweekly payroll:
    • Set up new drivers and manage the payroll for drivers
    • Update route times in the payroll system
    • Enter daily timesheets
    • Perform route audits for payroll
  • Prepare standard and miscellaneous reports for management
  • Update/maintain various lists: employee information, dispatch sheets, etc.
  • Customer service (consortia, schools, and public)
  • Assist with AM and PM dispatch
  • Filing (Driver paperwork, Hours of Service, self-assessments, invoices, etc.)
  • Accounts receivable / customer invoicing
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic accounting background or 1-2 years of payroll experience would be an asset
  • Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office and the Internet
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent communicator, possessing the highest level of professionalism
  • Understand and respect the importance of confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
