Join Our Team as a Build and Release Engineer (Azure / Jenkins)
We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Build and Release Engineer with strong experience in Azure, Jenkins, and .NET-based environments. In this hybrid role based in Toronto, you'll play a key role in modernizing and optimizing our build infrastructure, ensuring smooth, scalable, and automated release pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze the current build and release infrastructure, including configurations and responsibilities
- Evaluate and refine the initial migration strategy for transitioning build systems
- Build and demonstrate a proof of concept using a selected repository
- Design a robust migration plan for all remaining repositories
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align on rollout strategy
- Lead the implementation of the migration plan across the engineering ecosystem
- Document all aspects of the build system, including setup, maintenance, optimization, and usage best practices
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in build/release engineering, CI/CD automation, or backend infrastructure roles
- Strong background in C# and the .NET framework
- In-depth experience with Jenkins and other CI/CD tools
- Solid understanding of Docker and containerized deployment pipelines
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting; familiarity with Groovy scripting is a plus
- Practical experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based build workflows
- Knowledge of code generation tools and automation frameworks to enhance development efficiency
- Experience with Windows Installer technologies such as MSI and WiX Toolset
- Methodical and analytical problem-solver with a passion for clean, maintainable automation
