Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $150,000–$175,000 based on education and experience

A leading food and beverage manufacturer in Vaughan, ON is seeking a Maintenance & Engineering Manager to oversee all engineering projects, infrastructure, and maintenance activities across two high-speed production locations. This is a critical leadership role designed for someone who thrives on driving results, solving complex facility challenges, and ensuring operational reliability through hands-on project execution and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance and engineering functions across two Vaughan-area sites, including P&L, managing 3 direct managers, 10 supervisors, and a team of 50 hourly employees.
- Lead all maintenance and engineering operations across two production sites in Vaughan
- Manage all assets for the operations: mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and wastewater
- Plan and execute capital projects, including scope definition, budgeting, vendor coordination, and implementation
- Design and maintain plant layouts and equipment drawings using AutoCAD
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve system performance
- Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and optimize plant performance
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and food safety standards including SQF
- Manage external contractors, city inspectors, and vendors to ensure quality and timely project execution
- Create SOPs, manuals, and technical documents to support training and standardization
- Support and mentor maintenance team members; serve as a backup leader when needed
- Oversee annual capital planning and long-term infrastructure investment strategy
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is required or a closely related major
- 10+ year's experience in maintenance and engineering leadership role within the food or beverage manufacturing industry
- In-depth knowledge of utility systems: boilers, chillers, HVAC, compressors, fire protection, and pressure vessels
- Proven project management skills across multiple capital initiatives
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, etc.)
- Strong understanding of processing and packaging systems
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication abilities
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with quality, production, and external partners
