Job Title: Systems Testing/QA Specialist – Senior
Location: 5700 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2–3 days on-site/week)
Start Date: July 2, 2025
End Date: December 31, 2025

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist on a hybrid basis. The selected candidate(s) will lead the planning, development, execution, and support of testing efforts for both graphical and non-graphical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop testing strategies, plans, and scripts

• Organize and lead testing activities for complex systems

• Execute system integration, functional, non-functional, and UAT tests

• Analyze and troubleshoot defects, and document outcomes

• Collaborate with Client, developers, product owners, and stakeholders

• Monitor performance, security, and compliance testing

• Lead and support UAT and QA sign-offs

• Prepare detailed test summary reports

Required Skills and Experience

• Extensive QA experience with both functional and non-functional testing

• Proven expertise in:

  • Test planning and strategy development

  • Manual and automated testing

  • Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking

• Knowledge of:

  • SDLC, ITIL, and structured methodologies

  • Version control systems, SQL, CASE tools, data query tools

• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills

• Experience testing:

  • COTS applications (e.g., Case Management, Curam, Oracle eBS, Siebel)

  • Web-based systems and front-end technologies

• Understanding of AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act)

Desirable Skills

• QA team leadership and mentorship experience

• Programming experience (any language)

• Experience with object-oriented testing methods

• Familiarity with child welfare applications

• Automation scripting and performance testing experience

• Knowledge of information management principles

• Experience with Agile methodologies

Must-Haves

• Strong knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps

• Experience testing large-scale enterprise/COTS systems

• Familiarity with accessibility standards (AODA)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective cross-functional communication and stakeholder management
