SENIOR ESTIMATOR – CIVIL, PAVING & CONCRETE

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We're working with a respected civil contractor with a strong reputation for quality work across paving, road reconstruction, and large-scale concrete infrastructure. They're looking for a Senior Estimator to join their estimating team based in Vancouver, BC, providing leadership and expertise on projects ranging from $4M to $10M+.

THE ROLE: SENIOR ESTIMATOR

You'll take ownership of preparing and managing civil bids for municipal clients and large private-sector developments. With support from junior staff and access to modern software tools, you'll play a key role in the company's growth and ongoing project success.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading estimates on paving, concrete, and municipal civil infrastructure projects ($4M–$10M+)
  
• Preparing accurate quantity take-offs and pricing for unit rate contracts (rehab roads, widening, bus lanes, hardscapes)
  
• Managing bid lists, facilitating bid reviews, and coordinating submissions across offices
  
• Supporting subcontractor engagement and bid strategy planning
  
• Acting as a key estimator on high-value subcontracts in sectors like transit and airport infrastructure
  
• Collaborating with the preconstruction team and sharing resources across multiple disciplines (concrete, asphalt, civil)
  
• Mentoring junior estimators and promoting estimating best practices
  

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• 7+ years of estimating experience in civil construction (paving, municipal work, flatwork)
  
• Proven experience working on projects in the $4M–$10M range
  
• Strong knowledge of unit rate bids and municipal tendering processes
  
• Proficiency with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, Bid2Win, HeavyBid, or similar
  
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
  
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
