We are currently seeking an Accounting Administrator to join our Vancouver Accounting Team. This role requires 2+ years of related accounting experience and offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Accounting Administrator supports the daily operations of the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, assisting with trust accounting and compliance, and supporting ad hoc tasks, special projects, and other duties as required.
The Role
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile trust accounts in accordance with applicable regulations and firm policies
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Support employee expense reimbursement
Organize and maintain accounting documentation and records
Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections
Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports
Respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions and support internal stakeholders
Participate in various ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned
Perform other accounting or administrative duties as required
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting support role
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel
Experience with trust accounting (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
