Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including journal entries, month-end close, bank and account reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.

Sales Tax Preparation: Prepare and file sales tax returns across applicable jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and maintaining accurate records of tax filings and payments.

Internal Controls & Compliance: Support the maintenance and improvement of internal controls and accounting policies to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Audit Support: Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Other ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Key Qualifications:

Required:

• Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: 24 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software and strong Excel skills.
• Attention to details: high attention to accuracy and consistency at work
• Growth Mindset: Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to take on new challenges and continuously improve processes, systems, and personal skillsets.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills; comfortable collaborating across departments.

Nice to Have:

• CPA designation in progress or completed.
• Experience with multi-entity and/or multi-currency accounting environments.
• Work experience in accounting firms is an asset
• Eligibility to travel to US for year-end inventory count
